As of Nov. 4\, the sign was changed to a Toth Buick/GMC ad. \nA peaceful protest against that sign that makes those of us who live in the south part of Summit County cringe and curse every time we drive by. \nHere are the details: The sign is on private property\, but the group will gather on the public sidewalk in front of the sign. Parking is tricky: Park at Harmony Springs Church\, 3891 S. Arlington Road\, Uniontown. There will be drivers safely shuttling participants to and from the site. \n(The sign is located on South Arlington Road\, on the east side of the road\, south of 619.) \nCould you park and walk? It’s not recommended\, because the sidewalk is not complete from the church’s parking lot to the site. \nIs it accessible to people with mobility issues? No. If you use an assistive device to move\, this may not be the event for you. GOOD NEWS: Drive by with your signs\, honk and wave and support the peaceful protesters! \nThis event is being organized by Green Isn’t Red\, a grassroots group of community members who are coming together in the Green\, Clinton\, New Franklin and Uniontown area. Our keynote speaker for the evening will be Farhad Sethna\, a local immigration lawyer and grassroots activist. Songwriters include Jim Ballard and The Strangs\, Angie Haze\, Nate Vaill\, Grady Miller and Karyn Morgan\, joined by poets\, Keith Allison\, Danielle Dixon and Raja Belle Freeman. Come breathe in/breathe out. \n\n6:00 p.m. doors open\n7:00 p.m. concert begins with performances by (not necessarily in this order)\n\nAngie Haze musician\nGrady Miller musician\nNate Vaill musician\nKaryn Morgan musician\nKeith Allison/Angry Cow Poetry poet\, spoken word artist\nRaja Belle Freeman performance poet\nDanielle Dixon poet and artist\nThe evening will be capped off with a performance by Jim Ballard and The Strangs.\n\n\n\nTickets: $10 online\, $9 each for groups of 5+\, or $15 at the door.
