Workshop: ‘Do the Work: An Antiracist Activity Book’

June 13 @ 10:00 am12:00 pm

This isn’t your average book club. Do The Work! is a workbook packed with hands-on exercises, quizzes, coloring pages, Q&A prompts, and real talk about white supremacy and how we dismantle it — together. Whether you’re new to the work or deep in it, this 5-session series offers a welcoming, challenging, and creative space to reflect, engage, and grow.

We’ll laugh, listen, learn, and lean into discomfort. You’ll bring your workbook, your voice, and maybe some crayons. We’ll bring community, courage, and a commitment to change.

Join us for a 6-session workshop where we’ll share what we learned from doing the exercises in Do The Work! An Anti-Racist Activity Book by W. Kamau Bell & Kate Schatz.

Who is this for?

As the authors say: “This book is for white people… This book is not just for white people. White supremacy messes with all of us.” If any of these sound like you, this space is for you:

  • You know the system’s broken and want to help fix it
  • You were (or weren’t) shocked by Trump’s election — and want to prevent it from happening again
  • You’ve marched and asked, “What’s next?”
  • You want to understand white privilege and help dismantle it
  • You already know a lot — and want to share your perspective
  • You believe white supremacy is a cancer on our culture and democracy

Are you ready to be the change you want to see?
