Indivisible Akron Monthly Meetup (January 2026)
About This Event
Indivisible Akron meets on the second Monday of every month.
Heads up, friends — this is the part where you really need to pay attention. We’re in a new location (yes, NEW, so don’t show up at the old spot and wonder why the lights are off).
📍 First Congregational Church of Akron 292 E. Market Street, Akron, OH 44308
This Month’s Speakers
Jennifer Boswell (Moms Demand Action & Indivisible Akron). She’ll break down the push to fill those mysterious, often-ignored PC seats in 2026. Think of them as the “hidden gears” of local politics — small but mighty. If you’ve ever wondered how politics actually works at the ground level, this is your chance to find out.
Phill Wiland (Summit County Progressive Dems). He’ll share what SCPD is all about, how it operates, and how we can work together to make change happen.
Why You Should Come
If “get more politically involved” or “finally figure out local politics” made it onto your 2026 resolutions list, this meeting is basically tailor-made for you. And if you don’t do resolutions… well, maybe this is the year to break that streak.
Parking & Directions The church sits on the south side of East Market Street, between College and Union Streets. Parking lots are along Union Street. (Translation: don’t circle Market Street endlessly — the lots are tucked behind the church.)
