Let’s build real conversations in Barberton — together.
We’re hosting two important events this month, and you’re invited to be part of a style of outreach that feels human, grounded, and surprisingly fun — even for introverts.
Why Deep Canvassing?
Deep canvassing isn’t about selling, persuading, or debating. It’s about listening.
We’ll be knocking on friendly doors, talking with disengaged neighbors and infrequent voters, and gathering insights about what people actually care about. Those insights go straight back to the Democratic Party so they can better understand the community’s priorities.
This is meaningful work — and it’s low‑pressure. You’ll go out in teams of 2–3, so no one is ever alone. Many people who were nervous at first end up loving it.
Learn the method, practice the conversations, and get comfortable before we head out into the community. Encourage people to come even if they are on the fence about doing it. At least learn what it entails and what it’s like. You might take away some tips for talking with friends and family about the upcoming election.
