Deep Canvassing Virtual Training*
The Summit County Democratic Party is working with local leaders to engage voters across Akron through deep canvassing. At this interactive training, we’ll show you how to connect with voters on a deeper level and listen in a way that builds trust and inspires action. Whether you are experienced door knocker or this is your first time, you’ll leave ready to talk to voters with confidence.
What is deep canvassing? In Summit County alone, 72.58% of voters turned out at the polls, which at first glance sounds great, but why did those 27% stay home? Deep canvassing is an effort to engage with voters and learn more about what they need, why they vote (and don’t vote) and what it will take to get them more engaged in 2026 and beyond.
