Indivisible Akron Safety & Training Open to anyone who wants to learn about and practice event safety.
Join Indivisible Akron for a hands-on safety training workshop in advance of our March 28 No Kings day of visibility. While we expect our free speech event to be peaceful, powerful, and uneventful (in terms of conflict), it’s always good to prepare.
Indivisible Akron’s leaders have taught this training before our previous NO KINGS rallies and have since taken more training given the ever changing environment.
We will teach different tactics to use depending on your role as a peace marshal and role play different scenarios. Dress comfortably.
Who should attend this training? Anyone who’s interested in de-escalating conflicts, dealing with counter-protestors and helping to ensure our events are safe and peaceful. You do not need to be a peace marshal to attend this meeting.
