MARCH: 2026 BELONGS TO US

UPDATE: Stark Enterprises, the owners/managers of the commercial properties in Fairlawn, relayed a message through Fairlawn police that they would not allow our protesters to park in their parking lots. Their parking lots are private property — not public parking, which we mistakenly said — and reserved for customers. That said, even if we patronized the businesses on their properties, which we would have done — their loss — they can have our vehicles towed. Would they have the money, means and time to tow 300 cars? Not likely. Still, we don’t want to put a single person at risk for being harassed.
So we are going to take our messages slightly east to Hardesty Park, 1615 W. Market Street, and we encourage you to patronize the businesses in West Akron. Same time, different location.
Stark Enterprises does not own or manage any of the properties in that area. If you are interested in avoiding properties that Stark Enterprises owns, please visit their website at https://starkenterprises.com/portfolio/
On January 17, Indivisible Akron is kicking off our 2026 campaign with a march. The theme is 2026 BELONGS TO US. Details coming very soon, but put this on your calendar, and start getting the creative juices going.
While the Trump regime co-opts the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and freedom from Great Britain, we’re saying, “Hell no!! 2026 is OUR YEAR!”
2026 belongs to We The People. We’re taking the country back from wanna-be fascists, tech bros and greedy corporations. We’re taking our country back from Christian Nationalists who want to merge church and state.
We’re taking back our power from anyone who thinks democracy is optional or that our rights are negotiable. We’re taking back our future from those who try to divide us by race, gender, religion, or who we love. We’re taking back our voice from the wealthy and well‑connected who believe they alone get to shape what America becomes.
In 2026, we decide what freedom means. We decide what community looks like. We decide what kind of country we’re building for the next generation.
This march is our declaration: We’re still here. We’re still fighting. And we’re not going anywhere.
Mark your calendar for January 17. Bring your signs, your friends, your fire, and your belief that a better America is still possible.
#2026BELONGSTOUS.
